Cannabinoids are compounds found in cannabis plants. They range from non-psychoactive to psychoactive and are the basis for various medicines, edible food substitutes, and additives, and legal remedies alike.

CBD (cannabidiol) is the second most abundant cannabinoid in cannabis after THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Unlike THC, CBD won’t get you high.

CBD has shown promise in humans and animals as a treatment for various ailments, notably anxiety, depression, pain, inflammation, sleep disorders and cancer.

Unlike cannabis and THC, CBD doesn’t impair coordination, judgment, or memory. In a Critical Review Report published in 2018, the World Health Organization concluded that “no evidence of recreational use of CBD or any public health-related problems associated with the use.

CBN is another non-psychoactive cannabinoid. Users report a deeply relaxing quality that helps to fall and stay asleep, which is why it is gaining popularity globally as a natural sleep aid and insomnia treatment.

Cannabigerol (CBG), a non-intoxicating cannabinoid present in cannabis, won't get you high. CBG has many potential therapeutic benefits, including antibacterial, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory qualities.

As with CBD, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is also prevalent in cannabis plants, specifically in higher concentrations found in marijuana. THC is the leading cause of marijuana’s intoxicated “high”. It is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis. Honesy products contain 0% THC.

CBD distillate is a highly concentrated extract. It is derived from hemp and cannabis plants. CBD distillates typically contain around 80% CBD, with the balance including minor cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. 

Terpenes are aromatic oils found in cannabis plants that contribute to various cannabis colours and distinct flavours. Terpenes promote pain and anxiety relief while also helping to focus. Common terpenes include - Myrcene, Pinene, Limonene, Terpinolene, and Caryophyllene.

There is no record around the globe of anyone ever overdosing on CBD, CBG or CBN products. CBD, CBG and CBD are non-toxic and non-psychoactive.

The ideal daily dose will fluctuate depending on a specific person, though we recommend starting at 20-30 mg daily. Evidently, each product’s package will have its own diligently described serving size for sufficient effect.
